Members of the Pennant Hills Freemasons have donated $6,000 to the Lions Club for distribution to drought-stricken farmers in the Dubbo Regional Council area.
Narromine Lodge Secretary Neil Richardson said the continuing drought crisis had had a disastrous effect on the farming community.
“The Masonic community have thrown their support behind the cause, with the Pennant Hills brethren making a generous donation of $6000 to Lodge Narromine 236 to assist farmers in need,” he said.
“Our members, in turn, have elected to donate the money to the Lions Club so that they might distribute it equitably to those in need.”
