A DONATION of digital devices is providing a lifeline for families in crisis.
Cheshire Freemasons have donated £2,500 worth of technology including iPhones, iPads, tablets, Android phones, laptops, and prepaid SIM cards to a women and children’s refuge, to support families fleeing domestic abuse.
Andy Tong, area chairman within the Province of Cheshire and lead on the project, said: “Seeing the faces of young people being able to reach out into their digital world, or a young mum being able to speak to a support group, makes the donation of this technology absolutely vital.
“Most often, we are asked if they can keep the phone we have provided.
“It becomes their lifeline, their safety net, and their most valued possession.”
