Derbyshire/England - Freemasons donate dozens of teddy bears for bereaved children

Derbyshire based hospice has been given dozens of teddy bears to give to children who have suffered from bereavement. The cuddly toys form part of the Teddies for Loving Care initiative by the national Freemasons where millions of the bears were given to A&E departments across the country to help comfort young people in distress.

Now the scheme has been extended to help in other areas including hospice counselling.

Jayne Caesar, Art Psychotherapist at Ashgate, said: “The children’s service we are currently developing looks at emotional support for bereaved children, families and extended families within the community.
