Dorset/England – Boscombe Freemasons donate £2,766.58 to HOPe

A Bournemouth lodge of Freemasons has donated almost £3,000 to a New Forest charity dedicated to tackling loneliness among older people.
Helping Older People New Forest (HOPe) received a cheque for £2,766.58 from Boscombe Lodge as part of the Freemasonry in the Community (FiTC) initiative.
The funds will go towards expanding HOPe’s vital befriending service, which matched volunteers with more than 50 isolated or housebound older people last year, providing more than 2,000 hours of support.
The money was raised by lodge members through raffles, sponsored events and voluntary donations.
