England: Freemasons in Newton Aycliffe raise funds for dementia cafe

FREEMASONS in Newton Aycliffe have handed over £250 to go towards a service for people with dementia.

Aycliffe Masonic Lodge presented a cheque to the Pioneering Care Partnership (PCP) which runs the fortnightly Memory Cafe.

Robbie Davison, the charity steward of the lodge, said: “The Freemasons hold a series of events and fundraising activities throughout the year and are always very pleased to support local charitable work.

“We were particularly keen to help a project that supports older people, the Memory Cafe at the Pioneering Care Centre was a natural choice to benefit from funds raised at a recent social night held at the Masonic Hall, Ferryhill.”
