England - Freemasons support 'Home for Home'

2 of the Isle of Wight’s Freemason Lodges came together recently to fundraise for Jean’s House in Southampton.

Jean’s House is a CLIC Sargent ‘Home from Home’ that helps families whose child is being treated for cancer at Southampton Hospital. The hospital in Southampton is the nearest Principal Treatment Centre for young cancer patients from the Island, so the charity offer free accommodation close by to the hospital with their ‘Home from Home’.

George Davies, a well known member of Freemasons, let the West Wight Lodge and Ernest Moss Lodge know about how CLIC Sargent helped local families. Both Lodges applied for a donation from the Tom Langton Trust which meant that including a personal donation, the Lodges donated a total of £3,000 towards the fundraising appeal.
