Everyone needs a cuddle now and then – especially when you’re not feeling well.
And if you’re young and poorly then a bear can often be a great comfort.
It’s for this reason that the TLC-Teddies for Loving Care scheme was set up, to provide bears for youngsters in hospital.
The 40,000th bear has now been handed to 10-month-old Nancy Speight on a visit to James Cook University Hospital’s A & E department.
