England - Southwark horticulture charity receives grant from London Freemasons

Walworth Garden in Southwark, in South London was awarded a £10,000 grant from the London Freemasons Charity during the pandemic in 2020. Walworth Garden, established in 1987 to provide welfare and education in South East London, is a unique charity that is dedicated to improving lives through horticulture. Open to everyone, their award-winning gardens provide an oasis in the heart of Southwark. It’s a place where people come to relax, learn and grow.

The organisation has a School of Horticulture and training centre running accredited City and Guilds courses. Its aim is to build student confidence and motivation, and provide the skills needed to work in horticulture and gardening. The training provided covers plant propagation, pest and…
