The Besom in Wirral was delighted to receive a cheque for £1,830 from members of Elleray Park Masonic Lodge and a delegation of Cheshire Freemasons, to help purchase a new vehicle.
The Besom is based at St Peters Church in Heswall and is the local branch of a national charity which was founded in 1987 by James Odgers.
The charity’s aim is to “Sweep away Suffering” and their symbol is a Besom – a brush made of twigs.
Across the Wirral the charity collects good condition unwanted items which can make a home more comfortable such as beds, tables & chairs, fridges, cookers, microwaves, settees; etc, all of which are given free of charge to clients who have been recommended by…
