Essex/England – Freemasons host fishing day for children with special needs

The Essex Branch of the Masonic Trout and Salmon Fishing Charity (MTSFC) brought joy and adventure to a group of young people from Thriftwood School, Chelmsford, during a special fishing day held at Chigborough Lakes in Heybridge.
Pupils were treated to a hands-on fly fishing experience, guided by dedicated volunteers, followed by a hearty barbecue lunch. These events are designed to support disadvantaged children and young people with special needs by offering a day in the countryside that builds confidence, promotes inclusion, and most importantly, brings fun and new memories.
