Essex/England – Freemasons pledge £425k to charities ahead of 250th anniversary

As Essex Freemasons prepare to celebrate 250 years of charitable service in 2026, they have announced a bold forward-looking initiative.
They have pledged £425,000 to five carefully selected charities as part of a county-wide programme called Essex 250.
Launched by the Provincial Grand Master, Paul Tarrant, the initiative embodies the Freemasons’ core values of compassion, service and community.
Each charity has demonstrated not only the importance of its work, but also the potential to deliver long-term, sustainable impact for people across Essex.
