2017 marks the official 300th birthday of Freemasonry, celebrating how three hundred years ago, on 24 June 1717, four London Lodges came together to form a Grand Lodge, the first in the world.
The Tercentenary had been commemorated with a calendar of high profile events. The celebration highlighted Freemasonry’s position as one of the oldest and largest secular, apolitical, fraternal and charitable organisations in the world.

Tercentenary was not only an important historical landmark celebrating 300 years of heritage, but also Freemasonry and its benevolent values and relevance in society today.
