One of the most senior Freemasons in the country attended a meeting in New Milton to conduct a re-naming ceremony.
Provincial grand master Jon Whitaker announced the new name for the combined Barton Court Lodge and Fernhill Lodge as The New Milton Lodge.
This name is a revival of the original New Milton Lodge, which ceased in 2011, chosen for its descriptive nature.
The ceremony, attended by about 100 Freemasons, also revealed the lodge’s new banner.
