Once highly secretive, local Freemasons slowly going public
The Freemasons have been labelled everything from a secret society to a cult, but with several high profile charity events and even a parade last year, Renfrew’s Freemasons are showing they have nothing to hide. The group announced publically an impending visit by the Ontario Grand Master to Renfrew and last night, Paul Todd joined the Renfrew Lodge for a meeting. Over the 300 years the Masons have been around, the organization has long been the target of conspiracy theories. Todd admits there are things that cannot be made public, but they always welcome new members.
