Maine/US – Wiscasset Masonic Lodge donates to local food pantries
At their May 8 meeting, the Wiscasset Masons of Lincoln Lodge No. 3 A.F. & A.M. presented five area food pantries with a total of $4,000. The funds were raised by the Masons during their Christmas drive held at Ames Supply in Wiscasset. The $2,000 raised at that event was then matched by the Masons Assisting Charities Fund.
The five food pantries receiving these funds are the Alna Food Pantry, Church of the Nazarene Food Pantry, Edgecomb Community Church Little Corner Food Pantry, St. Philip’s Food Pantry (which also includes the Feed Our Scholars Program), and the Westport Food Pantry. Members from each pantry were invited to attend the potluck supper provided by the Masons before their meeting.
All were very appreciative of the Masons’ efforts to help their surrounding communities combat…
