A man breaking into a historic Masonic Lodge here early Wednesday was fatally shot by an occupant of the building, police said.
The shooting occurred shortly before 4 a.m. inside the Tuscan Masonic Lodge at 5015 Westminster Place, police said.
The man killed was 37. He was found with a puncture wound on a bathroom floor of the building and pronounced dead at the scene.
The shooter, a man in his 40s, told officers he had been woken up by the building’s security alarm before he picked up a gun, searched the building and shot the man, police said.
