A $33,000 donation from New Zealand freemasons will go towards restoring the landscape wiped out in the 2020 Lake Ōhau fires. The fires, which raged for several days in early October, razed more than 5000 hectares of land and destroyed nearly half of the 100 homes in the Lake Ōhau village.
