Two Freemason lodges which have seen more than 50 years of secret handshakes, strange regalia and rituals are being touted as “well suited to church groups or a funeral business”.
The Freemasons are following other service organisations in downsizing property holdings as memberships decline – its Invercargill lodge is currently under contract and last year it sold a Wellington building.
