The Crookston Masons held a free will pancake/waffle breakfast fundraiser at the lodge and raised over $25,000 thanks to the free will donations and the Corporate Sponsors of Christian Brothers Ford, Christian Motors, and Christian Cars online; Phil Thompson and Associates, Bagley Co-op, the DAV, Crookston VFW and Auxiliary, and the Crookston American Legion and Auxiliary. Minnesota Masonic Charities matches the total the Crookston Masons raised for the $50,174.72 total.
“Through our sponsors, we were able to garner some money. And then the breakfast with pancakes, waffles, and French toast. It’s just the honor flight and people know it’s thanking their veterans for what they’ve done in the past,” said Crookston Mason Lester Wilkens. “We raised about $25,000 and got matching funds from (Minnesota) Masonic Charities.”
