The unassuming-looking house at 19 Hill Street in the New Town – known as ‘Mary’s Chapel’- has a very long, strange and fascinating history. And it’s certainly not a chapel.
When you walk past 19 Hill Street in Edinburgh’s very well heeled New Town, the only clue that you’re dealing with a fairly unusual building is a six-pointed star carved above the lintel, adorned with strange symbols and numbers.
