A new bus will give senior citizens a “helping hand”, thanks to the ancient order of Freemasons.
Whether it be used for transporting Lealholme residents to the Christmas Pageant, taking memory support unit residents out for weekly drives around town or shopping trips, Helping Hand aged care will benefit from the 12-seater bus.
The $90,000 vehicle, which features a wheelchair lift, has been bought with money raised by the Lealholme auxiliary committee, the community and through a $33,000 donation from Freemasonry.
