The Paris Masonic Lodge has shown its continued support for the future of healthcare by awarding five $500 scholarships to students in the vocational nursing program at Paris Junior College.
The recipients are Erika Caplinger of Brashear, Stephanie Harris of Paris, Bunbotumsocheat “Victoria” Kong of Cooper, Katy Luera of Quinlan, and Javery Sims of Paris. The students expressed deep gratitude for the assistance, noting that the financial support eases significant burdens.
“I’m looking for anything that will help me,” said Caplinger. “It’s just me and my husband living on one income. I drive an hour to class, and it’s a lot of stress. Any help gives us a little freedom, a sense of independence, and not having to rely on others too much.” Harris shared a similar sentiment.
“This will help me with my family,” she said. “We have two children, and I had to quit my full time job to attend nursing school. This scholarship helps us a lot, and we really appreciate it.” Brad Bolton, Assistant
