AMHERST — Even with its prominent spot between the police station and Town Hall, and proximity to restaurants, many pedestrians are likely to pass by the century-old, 2½-story brick building at 99 Main St. without ever going inside.
On Saturday, the home to the Pacific Lodge of Freemasons since 1912 will stage an open house from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. so the public can find out more about the organization and the building.
Jimmy Burgoff, president of the Pacific Lodge Building Association, said the open house is an opportunity for the community to learn more about the projects the organization supports and get a look inside the building.
