In 1967, when Henley Freemason John Price was involved in a serious motor incident in Shropshire, the medical professionals were sceptical as to whether he would lose his eyesight.
Thankfully, with their skill and care, they were able to save sight in one eye. The prospect and realisation felt by Mr Price during his time in hospital caused him to be thankful and so began a long relationship with Guide Dogs for the Blind, which he has been regularly giving to for the last 55 years.
During this time his sponsorship has enabled dozens of dogs to be trained for the purpose of aiding the partially sighted or totally blind.
