Pennsylvania/US - Charity Lodge 190 F. and A.M. celebrates 200 years

Norristown — Charity Lodge No. 190 F.&A.M., the first Masonic Lodge in Montgomery County, will mark its 200th year of service at a banquet scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 30, at Chadwick’s Restaurant in Audubon.

An Evensong Service at George Washington Memorial Chapel in Valley Forge will follow on Sunday, Oct. 1 starting at noon. Jeffrey Wonderling, Right Worshipful Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania, his wife Sharon, and 12 other officers of the Grand Lodge and their spouses will also attend the Bicentennial Banquet.

A citation from State Senator Amanda Cappelletti has been introduced in Harrisburg to officially recognize the Charity Lodge for its historic and sustained contributions to the commonwealth.

“We are extremely proud to carry on the historic legacy of embracing our role and contributing to the community, and in sharing the brotherhood and fellowship among our members,” said Michael J. McDade, who is the Worshipful Master of the Lodge.

“We look forward to bringing in more members to share the rich heritage of the fraternity and the valuable part Charity Lodge plays in our region,” he added.
