Somerset/England - Chard Freemasons Donate £1,000 to MS Society and St Margaret's Hospice

The Freemasons of Chard, a town in Somerset, England, recently made a significant charitable contribution. They donated nearly £1,000, split equally between the MS Society and St Margaret’s Hospice. The funds were raised by Paul Connett during his tenure as chair, but due to unforeseen circumstances, he couldn’t attend the cheque presentation ceremony. Instead, Worshipful Brother Adrian Auton stepped in to present the cheques, each valued at £434, to the representatives of the chosen charities.

Paul Connett’s choice of the MS Society for donation wasn’t arbitrary. He has a personal connection with the cause, as a family member suffers from multiple sclerosis. The donation, thus, served as an acknowledgment of the organization’s contributions to medical research in…
