Margate Moves: Lodge holds opens day

Margate Moves Freemasonsy

(the source: South Coast Herald):

MANY people wonder what Freemasonry is all about. It is an organisation that has intrigued non-members for centuries.

Freemasons are believed to have formed a brotherhood more than 500 years ago when they travelled across Europe laying the stones of the great Gothic cathedrals.

Freemasonry is not a secret society and masons contribute generously to relieve the poor.

The Wexford Lodge in Margate (corner of Wartski and Jenkins Avenues will hold an open day this Saturday (March 10) from 10am to 3pm.

Masons do not solicit for membership however, the open day is aimed at giving the public a better insight into the work that is done by them within their communities.

Men and women are invited to visit the lodge – enjoy a boerie roll and find out more about Freemasonry.
